How This Catfish Verification Checklist Works

Ten checks, run one at a time. Each one gives you a method you can follow right now, then tells you two things: what a real person’s answer looks like, and what a fake account’s answer looks like.

After each check you record what actually happened. Checked out, did not, or could not check. That last option matters, because a catfish verification built on tests you did not really run would give you a false result.

What The Catfish Verification Covers

• Their photos. Reverse image search, and the photo you specify. Anyone can send more stolen pictures. Nobody can send a stolen picture of something you just invented
• Live contact. The video call that ends most cases, the phone call as a lower bar, and why voice notes prove nothing at all
• Their trail. Account age, a proper name search, whether their time zone matches what they claim, and whether anyone else in the world interacts with them like a person who knows them
• Their story. Scrolling back to check the concrete claims against each other, because nobody keeps an invented life perfectly straight over weeks
• The line. Money, in any form. If it has come up, that outranks the other nine results and the tool says so plainly

It Checks Them, Not You
